Watergate
Today in 1975 British journalist David Frost purchased exclusive rights to interview President Richard Nixon. The actual interviews place in 1977 and were filmed in a six part series over a period of 24 hours. They were also expensive. In an interview with The Times just after his 70th birthday, Frost admitted the process had cost him £37 million.
