June Carter Cash

What makes a good country song? American singer, June Carter Cash, who happened to be born on this day in 1929, did a pretty good job of them. And if that wasn’t enough, she married the great Johnny Cash, and they made even better stuff between them.

Kids of my generation know her best from the 2005 movie, Cash, when Reece Witherspoon did a fine job of playing her alongside Joaquin Phoenix in a movie about their life. Other people probably have some favourite Cash songs. And if that’s you, you should tell us what they are below.

Welcome to Thursday everyone. What else is on your mind?
