http://www.thepunch.com.au/author-bios/georgia-miller-/ Georgia Miller is a campaigner with Friends of the Earth Australia (FOEA), an environment and social justice NGO with sister groups in over 70 countries.  She has coordinated FOEA’s nanotechnology project since 2005. She has a keen interest in the environment, health and social challenges of new technologies and the need to support greater public involvement in science policy decision making.  Georgia first got involved with community campaigning in 1994, trying to stop Tasmanian old growth forest logging – an ongoing challenge to which she still lends a hand. She has worked as a parliamentary liaison for NSW environment groups, for the Australian Greens in a range of roles, and as a community campaigner for GMO-free, more sustainable agriculture. Georgia has an Honours degree in Environmental Science.
