Darth Vader probably hasn’t has as much work done on his appearance as Michael Jackson, but he does the Thriller dance just as well. Enjoy.

Huh Obama was distracted by a fly? I would have thought he had more important things on his mind.  And man, he just looked weird.  If it was large as the reporter said, why was it a big deal?  The love fest with the media makes me puke. Read more »

If you haven’t seen this before, have a look. It’s a classic Saturday Night Live skit featuring Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken about, well, the need for more cowbell.

Heading in to the weekend I’d like to propose starting a list. What do you think could do with a little more cowbell?

I’ll make a start:

1. The Department of Defence
2. Cricket Australia
3. Question Time

Over to you ...

Invent a silly catchphrase. Take to ridiculous extremes. Publish on internet. Watch as it becomes a minor sensation.

This is doing the rounds today.

Maybe it’s just me, but I think it’s a bit meow meow meow.

Weren’t the ‘80s a magical time? Not sure what the boys in the classroom have got to do with the rest of this endearingly confused effort from Bonnie Tyler. But some comic genius has re-worked it for your viewing pleasure.

This may seem hilarious but since they started teaching English students about film techniques every single film clip, advertisement, news broadcast, show and movie in our house is partnered with similar side dialogue from one of our daughters. It is extremely distracting. I don’t know how she can enjoy anything… Read more »

Shane on you

From the Budget papers:

The Government is committed to retaining the [Extended Medicare Safety Net]. This demands that the safety net remain sustainable. There is evidence to suggest that excessive growth of fees for obstetrics and other services, such as Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), hair transplants and varicose veins is putting this sustainability at risk.

(I need to be clear that this is not in any way making light of the fact that treatments like IVF are facing a cap. You can read about a child who probably would never have been born had the cap been in place here.)

Step forward, Shane Warne. You have clearly encouraged men of Australia to seek out hair replacement treatments in a way that provides an opportunity to publish this picture again. Warney videos for your viewing pleasure below, too.
