Yvette Andrews
Yvette Andrews is a freelance writer and film maker. She writes on humanitarian concerns, the arts, international affairs and women’s issues.
Yvette worked for over twelve years in NSW state politics, eight of these as the Chief of Staff to the President of the Legislative Council, Meredith Burgmann. She also co-authored The Ernies Book: 1000 terrible things Australian men have said about women with Meredith.
Yvette founded the Sydney Women’s AFL and played for NSW. She established the Parliament of NSW Indigenous Art Prize. She is a member of the secret society of Australasian Primates (whoops) and has opinions on many things from who should play centre half back for the Sydney Swans to how to grow good broccoli.
