Tom O'Connor
Tom O’Connor has been the CEO of the Oaktree Foundation since July 2009. Oaktree is an international aid and development organisation, run entirely by young people under 26. Oaktree funds sustainable education projects in three countries in the Asia-Pacific region; has been a lead organiser behind the Make Poverty History campaign in Australia; and provides over 2000 young Australians every year with skills training and opportunities to make a practical difference to the issue of extreme poverty.
He has also co-authored The Future by Us, an anthology of essays presenting ideas for Australia’s future beyond 2020.
Tom is currently completing a degree in Arts (majoring in Politics) and Law at The University of Melbourne.
