Nick Crocker

Nick is MD of Native Digital - a digital innovation agency.  Native Digital co-founded the online music chart We Are Hunted and the launched world’s first major label music blog The In Sound From Way Out for EMI.

Named in Smart Company’s 30 Under 30 list for 2009, Nick is a non-linear entrant into the world of business, music and digital innovation.

After studying Arts/Law at the University of Queensland (the highlight of which was a semester abroad in Mexico), Nick spent time as a very ordinary research clerk in a construction law firm.

Fortunately, through his column in Brisbane’s Sunday Mail and as Music Editor of The Cool Hunter, inspiration was never far away, leading him to take on the role of GM at a Brisbane based digital music start-up.

In 2008, Nick took a leap and founded Native Digital.  He’s now a regular commentator on issues relating to music, marketing and technology for Billboard, AFR and NME and a contributor to publications such as Wired.

Outside of Native, Nick loves the Newcastle Knights, The Wire, any band that sounds like My Morning Jacket and running.

Feel free to follow him on Twitter.
