Kym Smith
Kym realised she wanted to be a photographer when she became St Claire College’s number one student in the subject without too much effort.
She completed her Photography Diploma in 2000 while working as an editorial photographer at The Canberra Times where she worked until 2003.
Wooed up “the Hill” by News Ltd, Kym has covered international events such as Super 14 Rugby Finals, Olympics, Federal Elections, APEC Summits in Korea 2006 and Peru in 2008, CHOGM, ASEAN and the 2008 G8 summit in Japan.
She is known by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd as the “bossiest photographer in the world”.
