Kit MacFarlane
Kit MacFarlane completed a PhD in English literature and film in 2008 and still isn’t sure what his thesis was about. He lectures in Media, English, Creative Writing, and anything else they’ll throw at him as a freelance lecturer, and has published regular higher education and cultural commentary.
When he’s done shouting at the TV, he writes a monthly column on historical pop culture for online magazine Popmatters called ‘Retro Remote’, where he treats pop culture nicely when it’s nice, and badly when it’s bad. Links to his writing can be found on his very ugly website http://kitmac.com.
