Jim Chalmers
Jim Chalmers is the Executive Director of the Chifley Research Centre, after a long stint as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Prime Minister and Treasurer. Prior to that he was a senior adviser to state and federal Labor leaders, National Research Manager for the Australian Labor Party and Secretary of its National Policy Committee. He has a PhD in political science and international relations from the Australian National University, and an honours degree in public policy from Griffith University. He hails from Logan City, to the south of Brisbane.
