James Mabbott

James Mabbott is a KPMG Director and the NSW Head of Markets.  An experienced business development professional, James has lead the sales and service delivery to one of Australia’s Big Four banks ensuring flawless execution of sales plans to successfully and sustainably grow the business needs of his client.
He has been with KPMG since 2004 and his specialties include; relationship management and development, sales strategy and execution, contract negotiation and pricing and customer needs analysis and solution development.  Prior to KPMG James spent six years at Telstra in a variety of Account Director roles and was initially recruited as a part of the Telstra Graduate Sales Program - being one of only four graduates accepted nationally.
His exceptional management, finance and sales and marketing skills have allowed him to manage teams while executing and delivering large strategic projects for some of the ASX Top 20 Companies.
An active member of his community, James is creative and innovative with strong communication skills and is passionate about people and helping disadvantaged communities.  In 2011, James was selected to go on a Jawun (Indigenous Corporate Partnerships) secondment and spent five weeks working in Redfern with Babana Aboriginal Men’s Group, an organisation committed to supporting Indigenous men in the areas of health, training and employment.
James has a Bachelor of Arts / Science.  (1st Class Honours in Philosophy and Double Major in Psychology) from the Australian National University, Canberra.
