Originally born in Hong Kong, she migrated to Australia at the age of three. Her mixed heritage has given her an interest in the impact of culture on personality and outlook, as well as an appreciation for the importance of language.
At present she is a regular contributor to both Subterranean Death Cult, a pop culture website, and Lip Magazine, a feminist publication.
