Diana Elliott
Diana Elliott wanted to be a journalist until two rounds of work experience in Year 10 killed the romance. She studied economics/commerce and worked for several years in a corporate environment before having an epiphany listening to ‘Once in a lifetime’ from Talking Heads (‘How did I get here’...etc etc). She studied professional writing and editing (didn’t finish that either) at night, got the romance back, left her job and set up a freelance writing and editing business, having not published a thing in her life. She now works full-time as a writer helping corporate and government clients turn ‘key messages’ into stories that resonate, while scribing loosely informed opinion pieces on the side as a freelancer.
