David Hall
Dave Hall is editor of Australian Football Weekly and The Full90, official matchday program of the Hyundai A-League.
Football is his unrequited love. After one too many wet Saturday mornings left on the subs bench, he finally realised he was not going to break into the school’s first XI, never mind get talent-spotted by his beloved Liverpool FC.
As a result, Dave has slogged through a varied career in hard-hitting journalism, including 10-day trips around the Whitsundays as a travel writer, free CDs and backstage passes as a music writer, and free clothes and alcohol as a lifestyle writer. In recent years, working on Alpha magazine and Foxsports.com.au has provided plenty of free tickets and a reliable excuse to watch sports as a football writer.
As editor of AFW, he is embarrassingly across the A-League, and his main concern is how to squeeze even more football into an already congested schedule.
