Danny Lester
Danny is a proud Aboriginal Man with family connections from the Singleton, La
Perouse and Orient Point communities. The Lester Family has a rich and valued
culture that has been taught through generations, he is one of four children.
Danny attended De La Salle Catholic School at Caringbah and Cronulla, throughout his schooling life one thing that he was taught was discipline, which he still maintains both socially and professionally.
He rose through the ranks as a Manager in the Commonwealth and State Public Service quite quickly, his most recent positions was leading Area East Coast in Centrelink and the NSW Department of Education and Training and now working as Chief Executive Officer at the AES.
Danny graduated from the University of Technology Sydney in 2001 with a degree in
Adult Education, he also attended the Foundation of Young Australians future
leaders forum in 2000.
Danny has a passion to improve social and economic well being for Aboriginal
people. His work throughout the past years has seen innovative and real change in
Aboriginal communities.
