Claire Porter

Claire is the national technology and social media journalist for News Ltd, where she spends her days writing about troll culture, hacktivism,  online privacy and social media.  Before taking up her position on the network rounds, Claire worked as the senior technology reporter for News.com.au for three years. When she’s not being trolled or writing stories, Claire can be found posting on Doctor Who fan sites, spending an unhealthy amount of time Googling David Tennant, taking photos of furry animals, and hunting for antique robots to add to her collection.

Claire has a bachelors degree with a major in politics and international relations and a graduate diploma of journalism from UTS.

Before working for News Ltd, Claire worked for Yahoo!7 News and Yahoo! Search Marketing.
