Brian Kelly

Brian Kelly was fortunate enough to start journalism in an era when a kid straight out of high school could bag a cadetship without first wrestling tertiary education. From a regional newspaper background 30 years ago, he took on work and life in the United Kingdom for a decade, during which toiling on an array of provincial weeklies and dailies broadened his experience before a move into magazines and “Fleet Street” titles.  Returning to Australia brought a sense of coming full circle and new challenges on newspapers in Perth and Melbourne before resettlement in his hometown of Wollongong, from where he continues to surf the ever-breaking wave of modern media.
