Babette Francis, B.Sc. (Hons), (Microbiology & Chemistry}, mother and grandmother to eight children and 20 grandchildren. Mrs Francis is a freelance writer who spent ten years broadcasting “Australian Diary on Radio Australia. She has attended numerous UN Conferences: on Women, Population, Habitat, and Food and has received several international awards, “Homemaker of the Year” in 1988, and the “Motherhood Award”
in 1991.
Mrs. Francis is the National & Overseas Co-ordinator of Endeavour Forum Inc and attended the UN Commission on the Status of Women meetings in New York. She has also been a speaker at conferences in Australia, New Zealand, the USA, UK, Ireland, Canada, Portugal, Singapore, Italy, India and Switzerland.
