Amy Noonan worked as a kitchen hand and barmaid before getting her first journalism job with suburban group The Messenger. Then she took off around the world, teaching yoga and horseriding and working as a secretary before coming back to journalism at The Advertiser. She has covered gossip, religion and police rounds before becoming Real Estate Editor. Used to navigating by way of past crimes scenes, she now uses record property prices to get around.
