Alice Gorman is a born again vegetable nut. Before she married a Queensland vegetable farmer 10 years ago she was happily enjoying her life as a big city journalist and imagining what it would be like to be Mrs George Clooney. In life before husbands, vegetables and children Alice worked for The Sunday Telegraph, Sky News London and the Gold Coast Bulletin, where she won a Walkley Award for her reports on the dysfunctional Gold Coast City Council.
These days she’s based in the Scenic Rim, west of Brisbane and when she’s not negotiating with her resident terrorists (no boys we cannot have Fruit Loops for dinner) she writes for various publications … often about agriculture.
She’s on twitter (@farmerhasawife), blogs and loves using social media to lecture encourage people to eat more vegetables (particularly QLD carrots, onions and green beans).
