Alex Sanchez
Alex Sanchez grew up in Green Valley in the outer reaches of Liverpool to Spanish migrant parents.
With the restless and very misguided energy of youth, Alex served as a Councillor, Deputy Mayor of Liverpool Council and Chairman of Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils between 1991 & 1999. He then undertook some aid work in Tajikistan before anyone knew where it was, and followed that with a stint in the Office of Mark Latham as a Senior Adviser over 2003/04.
Despite serious misgivings about why on earth he should do so – other than his mum telling him to always pick and stick - he retains his interest in the ALP. His real loves remain his family, Spanish football full stop, Real Madrid Football Club especially and the perfect paella.
