No arguments with me on Bersculoni sunny and just a late reply for last weekends punch that was closed on Sunday.

I think you said something about me being on the other team which no doubt I appear to be often enough, just hating to see any incompetence in government and even Tony needs to make a few changes I can agree.
I do even swing with voting or have done when younger re issues, last one like Iraq for instance.

Don’t let the politics bother you though when it comes to donating blood as it’s all good, mine actually going out and back in and they extract plasma from it whilst it’s out of me, you able to do it more often, as frequently as once a fortnight and so why I’m coming up for that century.

I intended to get down there last week but for one reason or another (disdain of breakfast being one) I haven’t yet -but am determined to donate some of my strawberry sauce sooner rather than later. I’ve bought a few things online locally and sometimes the quality leaves a bit to be desired but delivery and even follow-up in most cases has usually been pretty good.
The missus with a penchant for belly dancing and tropical fish in tanks buys a bit of everything online at times and costs for some things are amazing not so much for cost alone but especially out of Honkers, postage included.

They must have cheap aircraft fuel or whatever over there for something like a small tank pump she’ll get for just $12 and that includes the postage, it being more the convenience than price without having a supplier too local.

Personally I would have paid the extra $80 as I would have a valid warranty and also the power pack would plug into our power points. I buy ebooks and have found Amazon block many titles for Aussies. Strange as I buy from Kobo (Canadian company) without such restrictions.

Nike Australia has a fraction of the range of styles and colours available in other countries such as USA and UK, and when I tried to purchase a pair from Nike USA and Nike UK they wouldn’t deliver to Aus. I emailed asking how I could get these particular shoes in Aus, they said to contact Nike Aus, who said they couldn’t get them here. Well duhhh. So I waited and bought them from Niketown when I was in London a couple of months ago. Sadly it’s pretty common that Australian bricks and mortar shops offer an inferior range and that’s why we shop online, I didn’t discover the shipto website until recently but will consider using them in future. Or having things delivered to the in-laws to bring on their next visit.

I’ve run across this on software and cameras (not that I’m a big buyer) and a few other things. My sister in Canada becomes my addressee, I pay Canadian tax, and after you add the postal costs from her to me, it still works out substantially cheaper. 

Oh, and for most electronic stuff, it works on 110/240v//50-60 hz so all you really need is a $5 adaptor plug to fit our sockets.

Instead of buying adaptor plugs you can also see if you can just get a new lead with our power point plug if the equipment is of the type that the unit end unplugs which a lot do.
You might even find you have a box of old leads about somewhere and find one that fits.

Then they pop up as another entity and rip off a new lot of customers.
This is never good.

pa_kelvin, I find my shadow is always chasing me, no matter how fast I run, it’s still there.  I think it’s also a trained Ninjutsu exponent, as it seems to disappear when I go into dark areas, but as soon as I’m back in lighted areas or outside in the sun, it’s there…................waiting.

My Prostate cancer was picked up by a simple PSA blood test, before any rectal exam or Biopsy was performed… Who in their right mind would perform a biopsy without prior blood tests…Idiots.. My dear old Labrador died on Wednesday at nearly 14. My kids, grand-kids and myself have been crying bucket loads and keeping the kleenex company in business mopping up our tears.

The difference being, of course, is that Abbott went to 2 separate ballots with the Liberal members and was elected by them to be the Liberal leader, whereas gillard “decided” that night and then told the Labor members the next morning.
Can you see a difference here, themoor? 
“the Liberal constant harping on about the legitimacy of Gillard’s leadership is just mischief making. ”  That’s what opposition parties do, they undermine and try to destabilise, and is the same as Labor did when they were in opposition.

The Liberals are in opposition and you can be pretty well assured that they will be ready when the next election comes. Policies will be forth coming a few weeks before the said election, just like every opposition has done before every election so far. What is the big thing about the Libs showing you what they have now? It is all irrelevant as none of their “vision” and policies can be implemented by them now anyway. Why don’t you just worry about what the current government is doing and leave the other stuff until it comes time to matter.

Yes, he got away with it for so long but, surely, the question must be asked:
“Why did no-one come forward & report what they now say this Savile did whilst he was still alive?”
Now they are only accusations & no-one will ever know how many of them are factual. I don’t doubt he was a monster but why did his victims allow him to get away with it? They had decades during which time they could have had charges brought against him and the facts laid bare, the proof given in Court & Savile sent where all paedophiles should be sent: To Prison for Life.
There is something pathetic in raising his crimes now. He will never, ever have to answer for what he undoubtedly did.
Hopefully now in the UK, & indeed every other country in the world, anyone who has been Sexually Abused by anyone - no matter how high a profile, how big a “celebrity” they are - will go to the Police & do it NOW. If they don’t then they are allowing these monsters to prey on other children & adults & get away with it.
Is that really what people want? Or do they want Justice?

RSMc   Tried posting this last night ,but missed by 2minutes. As some-one that was molested at age 12/13 and never said anything until my mid 40s ,due to shame ,embaresment and whether you will be believed.                I believe that most (not all) people in my situation are the same (the Hey Dad girl as an example) and that due to conflicting emotions you tend to shut down that portion of your thoughts (I explained to my shrink as building boxes) so that you can lead a relitivly normal life. @nihonin - if we are to believe Chris Bowen, these men made no claim for asylum.  So, having tried to enter Australia without visas, and not having requested protection, they are illegal migrants, not asylum seekers, and I don’t think there’s any particular “due process” which applies in such a case other than to put them on the next plane back home.

It would be a different matter if they’d made an asylum claim, of course, though I think the Minister would still have the authority to deport them as being ineligible for refugee status.  But that would certainly require a more comprehensive review than a straight out deport, which is what occurred here (or so it seems to me, anyway)
