Your comment:You have to feel sorry for Richard Phillips, defending the indefensible actions of Ms C, but to bring out the “took advantage of her” ” young and “naive”, “what type of leader would ..,?” type BS argument, then, its gone downhill from the start.
I hope she appreciates the loyalty this guy is showing!
If it was truly for them, why not keep it to themselves.?
Who really wants or needs to know how she chose to be unfaithful to her partner 6 yrs ago.?

Boy, this issue borders on the ridiculous.
Honestly, the media are pandering to the hypocrits in our society.
Two consenting adults & Rann was single at the time. We don’t even know if sex really occured but really who cares?
Who could take this woman seriously? She went shopping between chan.7 & 9 and went for the highest bidder. She then demands that Rann make an apology to her husband. What the? Doesn’t anyone else think this is odd?
It wouldn’t surprise me if both husband & wife have cooked this up to get some easy money. Hubby just happened to be messaged the location of where Rann was attending & the altercation just happened to be caught by all the media.
      Set up, set up!
I have no sympathy for either Phillips or the manipulative Ms C.

Mike Rann will deny having sex with Michelle because he was engaged to Sasha during that time in 2005. Thus admitance on his part will lead to divorce, something he is obviously not intent on. Hence his inability to admit to the affair and ‘come clean’.  Has he not been married to Sasha at present then it would be easier for him to present the truth, apologise and move on. He has also misled the South Australian public by denying he knew Mr Philipps. He has also abused his power of office in my opinion. I think he should resign or step aside forthwith.

Unfortunately Richard Phillips has been led up the garden path by this manipulative woman with Mike Rann the loser. Channel 7 and New Idea are going to be up for millions when this goes to court. I suppose they think it’s just a cost of doing business. However, if it’s judged as malicious, some editor could end up in jail.

Good on Ms C for telling it like it was… I definitely won’t be voting for Mike Rann in the next election. How can you trust him now after he’s lied about not knowing Mr Phillips… I feel sorry for Sasha in all of this. Her fiance, and our state premier Mike, cheated on her and on us using taxpayers’ money. I will never believe another word he says. Media Mike, your gone.Mud sticks.

      Gurney
His wife knew of his friendship when they first started dating. The claims MsC. is putting forward were meant to have happened before he asked his wife to marry him. 18 months before he got married.
As for her husband, Mr.Phillips. Rann was a friend of his wife not him.
From all accounts I have read the only contact Rann had with him was from several emails.
This is looking like the tried & tested formula of dirty politics. Something we have all come to expect from the right.
I wouldn’t mind betting that when the whole truth comes out that these two manipulators,  Ms C & Phillips tried to extort money out of Rann by threatening a scandal pre-election.  Apparently, Phillips had been in contact with a few journalists & they weren’t interested. That was until the staged attack on Rann.
Something mighty askew going on there.
Good moral fodder for the hypocrits.
