  It’s well known throughout industry that non-union labour is involved in many more injuries and deaths in the workplace than unionised labour. Garrett should have legislated ‘No ticket, No start’ for insulation installers!

  The Opposition once again demonstrate naivety and incompetence. Examples aplenty particularly :
  - Ask Rudd to apologize for electricity price rise in WA. Lib State government and CPRS not a factor.
  - Direct attention on Kate Ellis who they must have thought was less able to answer questions on ETS. But the questions were so weak.
  - Dorothy Dixer to Gillard enabled her to demonstrate that Abbot in attempting censure on Rudd’s honesty makes up a quote from the Nurses’ Union. Who does the Coalition research?

.....and on cue, Kate Ellis proved her inability to answer the question on the ETS. Is she always “that” nervous when speaking ? Nervous stuttering is not a good sound to hear from the lips of any politician !

  What a load of hypocritical garbage. I noted a comment from my own local member Yvonne D’Ath (who I never hear of or see in the electorate) saying that Tony Abbotts comment was appalling and patronising. Add this to Combets waffle and I have questions for both of them.
  Did you find it appalling and patronising when Rudd abused a flight attendant on his VIP jet? Did you find it appalling and patronising when he used foul language to deride some of his colleagues including females? Did you find it appalling and patronising when he was caught out attending a strip club? Did you find it appalling and patronising when he attended Bob Hawkes birthday party which included a female stripper or were you actually there?
  Having played a lot of sport in my time I always knew when we were getting on top of our opponents - they started playing the man and not the ball.
  This is a lightweight government led by a lightweight leader. Sock it to ‘em Tony!!!!

  Rudd certainly seemed anxious to get “that” question about the appointment of Mike Kaiser out of the way quickly. If Kaiser is the absolute best appointee for the $450K position, some real dulks must have been referred as potential candidates. As I understand things, all Kaiser has to do to “earn” his stipend is turn up to the office each day. There has been no mention of how anyone can judge Kaiser’s performance. What are the key performance indicators that will prove that Kaiser’s worth ?
  
  The opposition must hammer away at this latest episode of “Jobs for the Boys”.

Are you telling me you don’t have friends that are either in some sort of ownership / management / totally unemployed??

Absolutely Shane from Melbourne, I no longer have an iron or ironing board. All my clothes are wash and wear and when taking off the line each piece is carefully folded, then put away or hung up. Works every time (sorry to sound so smug but on a hot day like this its a winner!).

  I do the ironing in our house and my wife says that because I do a better job than she does the task is mine for life ! The government is clearly rattled if the best punch that it can throw at the opposition is in reference to a comment that Abbott made about housewives doing the ironing.

I can’t believe that Greg Combet, the minister for reducing emissions and reducing our impact on the planet, then got away with confessing that he personally uses a laundromat. Why doesn’t the media pick up on that blunder!!!
