I would suggest you have been dribbling for longer than an hour already.
Are you sure you don’t want to re-supply the saliva glands?

      Labor will defeat Liberal today.
Why cannot we get bets on Question Time at the NSW TAB??

Cause no one is a big enough loser to bet on daily politics?

Did she just say it’s not right to go around and tell untruths? Is she serious?

Does Tony Abbott ever say anything positive ? Everything is soooo negative….sheeshhh and he got caught out lying during his media conference .....so that makes 2 leaders who lied…shows theyre (Gillard & Abbott) just the same.

    • John says:

      03:00pm | 01/03/11

Does he ever say anything positive?  No.

      Why would he?

He wouldn’t be so negative if the clowns on the other side of the room didn’t make it so bloody easy for him.

      05:02pm | 01/03/11

What are you talking about? Gillard is too gutless to answer the question why she lied but it is obvious to all that she said it to get elected. She perpertrated a huge fraud on the people and doesnt have the moral corage to admit it. She has the hide to say Abbott switches positions on Global sorry climate change (it stopped warming) but it was her that told kev to drop the cprs, she stabbed him because of the cprs, then she said no carbon tax, then under pressure from the greens she announced a carbon tax. She is without principle and without courage. A sad combination for Australia.

I dribble when I eat Pavlova! does that count?
I also get all quivery & goose-bumpy when I see Malcolm Turnbull! When he becomes PM I shall probably enter a “State of Ecstasy”!

    • Reg says:

      04:46pm | 01/03/11

If Turnbull ever gets to be PM (or President if he has his way) then at least we will have someone who is not an embarrassment on the world stage.

We have to go back to Hawke to the last time we had a PM like that.

    • Stewart Henstock says:

      02:09pm | 01/03/11

The carbon tax is just another tax like the GST or capital gains tax; it will send so many smaller companies and businesses to the wall, and in time, thousands upon thousands of already struggling families around Australia as well. This is because householders will end up footing the bill for the increased cost of producing everything which is still manufactured here. And the most deceitful aspect of the carbon tax will be that it will do bugger all towards reducing carbon emissions, because unless we stop population growth all together every single reduction in one emissions category will be offset by gains in another category.

So I missed QT Today.  Work and such.  I get home and see that Pyney is still in the house.  Clearly a crappy day and I didn’t miss much… Right?  Right??

      The Mad Monk’s Lament

(Perhaps Punchers can add another verse or several?)

      There are Independants three
      who I loathe;
I tried to dance their tune
      - they stomped my toes,
And sent me from the room,
Instead of to my rightful throne.
I resent it! So I vent it,
      And oppose.

When the PM’s got it wrong,
      I will oppose;
When the PM’s right on song,
      I still oppose.
If the matter’s fraught and delicate
I grimly say, The hell with it,
      Suppose we drop the pose
      And just oppose!

All this climate talk is dribble,
      (Phew, its warm!)
      From brains just causing trouble.
      Well, I’ve got brawn.
      From my dogma, I’m not shifting;
      Just crank up the airconditioning,
      And oppose. Yes, oppose.
      Again oppose.

      A Levy’s a bad thing,
      unless its mine.
Any tax that I don’t like
      is just a crime.
      And all billionaires of mining,
Know ye that I’m your shining
Knight in armour. Just for you
      I will oppose.

I hear some talk of boats,
      So I oppose.
      The State of Queensland floats,
      Why not oppose?
If you need a rugged stayer
in the job of Chief Naysayer,
I’m your man, for I oppose,
      Yes, I oppose.

    • Denny Crane says:

      Ode to a lier.

      I followed Mark cause
      he was the best
      We were best friends
      but he failed the test.

      Like my mates
      I stabbed him hard
      and sent him out
      into the yard

      next was Kev
      he was there to help
      But when I stabbed him
      I heard him yelp

i wasted lots on the BER
      about 3 Bill
      but oh my god
      it was such a thrill

      They stopped the boats
      I could not have this
      i changed the rules
      and 200 have died

      The mining tax
      was hurting hard
      so I lied to them
      to shut them up

      I told kev NO
      to the CPRS
      then stabbed him because
      he dropperd the CPRS

      As the election loomed
      Abbott was pushing
      and i looked doomed
I no Carbon tax but I was blushing

      Bob Brown now said
      you must break your word
      the people dont matter
      You’ve got to keep power.

      So I lied and lied
      and just kept on lying
as long as i keep power
i will just keep on lying.
