These are Australian cherries. In the shops at the moment there are lots of American cherries. They’re delicious, if very expensive at up to $20/kilo.
David Penberthy wrote the other day about how hard it is to avoid buying imported goods, though he mostly talked about stuff in jars and cans. What about fresh food? Do you think there’s anything wrong with buying imported fruit? It’s one thing in a country like England where nothing grows for six months, but here?
