Welcome to Thursday at The Punch. On this day in 1972 five White House operatives broke into a room at the Watergate in Washington DC, sparking one of the biggest political stories of all time, and one of the best movies.

No felonies in the comments, but other than that, this is your space to say what you like. Punch on.

Fedoragate, spygate and crashgate (in Formula 1). We really need a gategate. That would top it off.

Is the “UN Climate Watchers” site authentic United Nations or a “bogey?”
If it is genuine, why does it only have 350 members?

I think Carl Bernstein is still writing for the Washington Post.
The truth must come out, I suppose, and now documents stolen by a conscientious objector during the Vietnam War has been de-classified.
They supposedly implicate Presidents from Lyndon Johnson to Nixon lying to the American people about Vietnam.
It’s OK when Presidents and Prime Ministers lie, but not when we believe them.

Best game of League in 2 years.
I still reckon the NRL should do all it can to keep Israel, and players of his quality, in the game. He’s a star, and when he gets to Western Sydney, he’ll be like a drop in the ocean : no-one will notice him.

They should update other things in the game too.
