Ummm, is it? There are 26 pleats in the left picture front neck-line and only 25 in the right hand one?

Sorry for being a pedant but I was always taught that she was Mary Queen of Scots and never Mary Queen of Scotland.

She was technically Queen of Scots distinct from Queen of Scotland because she was the peoples monarch and as such it was only by the consent of the people that she had the right to rule.

Obviously issues like this came to a head (not just metaphorically) with her grandson Charles the first.

Her life was a bit of a Hollywood blockbuster.  Married, French Queen, widowed, Queen of Scots, married, widowed again, implicated in the murder, married again, kidnapped, imprisoned, deposed, exiled, imprisoned, executed.

      Colourful history!

Also, you file it under “English History”.  Are you trying to start a fight?

Mary and Bess. Two wonderful gals who had no problems with having opponents killed - specially ER 1.
