How does Nigella cook all that beaut food and never gets anything spilt on her clothes?
Or nicks a finger with a sharp knife and bleeds into the vegies.
I wish I had her luck in the kitchen.

I reckon her luck ain’t only confined to the kitchen.

All proud Right - of - Center Punchers, who despise Wikileaks for undermining national security, for showing just how manipulative and dishonest US (and other nations) are in relation to foreign policies, treaties etc,
Guess what? according to Fairfax media, you people are in a definite minority, by supporting Gillard and her view of the (non) existant threat these leaks.
Yes thats right, you are supporting the paranoid view of Gillard ( and Abbott , but that goes without saying).
Right Punchers and Gillard - now thats one unholy alliance.
LOL, you fellow travellers of Red Joolie. !!!!

      lulz.

Trying to distract us from the fact that the only embarrassing things revealed from the Australian end have all come down on the Labor party TChong?

Wern’t the Left going on and on about how that evil Howard and all the evil Liberal lies were going to be exposed? What happened with that? I’m still waiting.

BTW don’t presume to speak for me. In theory I’m in two minds about wikileaks. On the one hand truly grubby goverments engaging in illegal behaviour should be exposed.

On the other hand exposing the normal diplomatic goings on of nations is nothing more than the the distribution of embarrasing gossip at best, and is dangerous at worst.

Given most of the leaks seem to be falling into the latter category, I hardly think Assange and his minions are the heros they’re being made out to be by some.

That’s not to say I’m not enjoying watching the Labor party constantly getting dropped in the poo. smile

BTW An interesting alternate history story by Harry Turtledove details the potential effects the Wikileaks attitude would have had on say….the US actions taken in WWII. Some food for thought.

Timmy, all well and good, I’m just concerned about the company you keep with Gillard.  wink
BTW , too many Punchers take things far too seriosly. It is a complete waste of intellectual and emotional effort to go down that path.
Your a reasonably youngun? Dont become an old curmudgeon before you need to.

@TChong: I am a right puncher and stand in support of Wikileaks, in fact its this dropkick Labor government that has the most to loose from Wikileaks considering the amount of Labor leaks and just how decidedly dishonest Labor is in general, so contrary to your statement, you like your beloved Gillard should be against Wikileaks.

    • TChong says:

      12:53pm | 06/01/11

But, you see Ryan, having lefty ideals does not make me beholden to Labor, or Gillard.
Does the LNP represent any and everything you hold dear?
Does Abbott , Bishops Bronny or Julie, or Hockey speak for you on all issues?
I hope not .No one could be that sadly rusted on.

    • Ryan says:

      01:42pm | 06/01/11

@TChong: absolutely not, but the amount of lying and underhanded, dishonest and sometimes corrupt filth that comes from the Labor party does not ascribe to my values. I want someone who has a track record of running a competent government without shoving us into debt (with absolutely nothing to show for it mind you) my grandchildren won’t see paid off, I want someone who won’t barefaced LIE to me before the election that they most certainly aren’t going to bring in a carbon tax then do the exact opposite the day they manage to lie their way into power.
No sorry mate I will support the ones who have some values and integrity, support volunteer organisations like surf lifesaving even if the opposition, the heavily weighted left media and some disgusting members of our society are going to attempt to score cheap points by making fun of what we wear when saving lives in our own time.

      Nigella Lawson isn’t a chef.

    • Bob H says:

      07:51am | 06/01/11

@AFR Qute correct - she’s a posh bird that uses cooking as an excuse to shove her large norks on screen.  But she is all over a large women and it would be a decent hike to get round her in an afternoon.

    • BobbyDan says:

      08:51am | 06/01/11

All her fans know that she is a good looking home cook and she is a lot better looking than the fat man with the craveat on Aussie TV, that picks on everyone. I have never seen him even boil the perfect breaky egg or water for that matter.

In a nation where we are one of the world leaders on obesity, we encourage lying on the couch and eating incorrectly as a national event.

Ever notice there are never shots of her rear carriage in her cooking shows? Always the camera stays above the waist.
Methinks the butter went straight to her thighs.

.... Kylie Kwong could cook my noodles anytime ..... but my first love is Maggie in her Kitchen ..... that would be a nice hike around the curves ....

    • Shaking Head says:

TV stations are prone to ludicrous cross pollination of their programs, so a holiday program featuring hiking round large TV chefs is a possibility.

    • NicoleG says:

You’re all just jealous of the lovely Nigella because she’s rich, beautiful AND she can cook.

    • Shaking Head says:

      04:17pm | 06/01/11

@NicoleG - In her music journalism days she was a stunner and there’s probably still a Ferrari underneath the years of dairy, but please don’t fawn over someone just because they are wealthy and/or beautiful.

    • NicoleG says:

    • Justin says:

      09:22am | 06/01/11

Is Nigella really a cook? Do you ever really see her doing any of the prep? Think about it, it’s either an upper body/face closeup, or it’s a shot of a pair of hands doing the work. Rarely, if ever, are there wider shots of her doing anything other than eating.

The truth will come out Stig style.

    • Reg says:

None of her efforts have ever done anything for me, unlike those of Mauve O’Mara.  Ummm I think I’ll go and wrap that remaining batter around a few bananas and fry them in rice oil. Then beat up some brandy whipped cream.

@AFR-  I think Nigella has horses for courses, by the size of her
