Who wants to see a free movie?

Here’s the guff about Incendies, which is in cinemas on April 21: The Academy Award-nominated film is a masterful cinematic achievement - at once a tightly woven mystery; an epic, sweeping family drama and deeply affecting, profound and transcendent work.

At the reading of their mother Nawal’s will, twin siblings Jeanne and Simon learn for the first time that they have a brother, and that their father, who they thought was dead, is in fact alive. Their mother’s final wish is that the twins find them both to deliver certain sealed letters.

Shifting back and forth in time, Incendies follows two parallel journeys, expertly interwoven: the twins’ journey to their mother’s Middle Eastern homeland, and Nawal’s journey 20 years earlier to find the baby boy she was forced to give up. An incredibly powerful film that unfolds in such unique and unexpected ways, Incendies will floor you from the very first scene.       I think it’s an excuse to get 5 hot chicks and throw them into some actions scenes.

      Not that there’s anything wrong with that. But I like to call it how I see it and not expect anything more than that. Something that often keeps me well satisfied.

      No worries. Recent events show QLD’ers are now (at a minimum) bi-lingual - they’ll have an Auslan signer for the opening night, forget the subtitles.

      You cannot get a deal can you for people from faraway places even without a cinema who might just be visiting Melbourne just after when screening begins.

      Where the Labor Government actually works????? HAve you been under a rock for the past few years. Your state Labor Government works so well that all working Australians have an additional tax to pay because your “working” Labor government was that arrogant that they declined to take out insurance on the state’s infrastructure. Pretty bloody lame when you consider the frequency of cyclones and potential of flooding in the state. And wasn’t it just prior to the cyclones/flooding that the stench emanating from the Qld Government was that strong that it could be smelt in lower reaches of south-west Tasmania?

      Marvellous what some doe-eyed expressions and sympathetic platitudes from a failing Premier will do for the public perception of said Premier.
