@Drew, it seems like a no-brainer. Gay couples can, currently, have foster children and IVF, but not adopt. Seems like a silly technicality that needs to be rectified. Should be passed easily.

Also, I consider this the only good thing the State Government has done in about 8 years

As much as I support gay people have as much rights as possible, this debate is all about them and not the kids.. Im sorry, every kid deserves what most of us had, and that’s a mum and dad. They don’t deserve an ideology slammed down the throats of kids who views or needs seemingly don’t matter..

I have a very interesting story on road rage. Yesterday on was on the Central Coast of NSW driving through the town of Long Jetty when I observed an elderly gent in an old Toyota merge infront of a 4wd. When the old bloke completed his manouver the hero in the 4wd starts bipping constantly and yelling abuse out the window. Screaming at the top of his voice that the old bloke didn’t use his indicator but I was right behind the 4wd and saw the Toyotas blinker on for sure. We pulled up at traffic lights and to be honest I haven’t been in a physical altercation for 20 years but if this hero stepped outside to further voice his displeasure he was going to get a BIG surprise!

Great story S.L - why is it that people with the biggest cars are very often the biggest morons?

@Lucy, sorry to say it, but I often find young women in small hatches (Barinas / Mazda 2s etc) are the most aggressive drivers.

Although, the sheer number of 4x4s on the road is somewhat distressing sometimes

@ Macca….I know many 4wd owners and to them their vehicles are just transport not status symbols but this guy was definitely driving his anatomy extender.

“France was occupied by Germany in 1943.”

Might want to check your facts? 1940 saw France occupied; 1942 saw the remainder of the ‘free’ country - Vichy France - occupied by German forces in response to the Allied “Operation Torch” in North Africa.

The FFA has suspended two players for two weeks each after they were found to have simulated / dived. Well done to the FFA for having the guts to make this call as this is one of the main things that non-soccer fans hate about Football.

When are we going to get sentences that fit the crime. Recently in my area which has been very quiet for the past 40 years , 3 teenagers robbed a house behind my house, jumped the neighbour’s fence could not get into her house so forced up the garage door went a few doors up the street did a home invasion there bashed an occupant then went further down the street into the yard of another the dog was out so they got that and killed it the old guy of the house stuck his head out and they bashed him with a golf club .The police have got one so the others will not be hard to find , my neighbour has been told she can claim the cost of repairing the motor of her garage door which cost $170 from victims of crimes, but what cost do they put on peace of mind all but one of the victims were very elderly.

So Brown has come out with a signed off deal to work with Labor.

Wow big shock. Sort of goes to show the hypocrisy in the ranks. Brown’s “who us?” denial of a preference “deal” and we don’t do deals we negotiate crap pre poll.

What a joke. It must be embarrassing being a member of the Greens.

What does it change? Well probably a 75 all split now. Katter and Windsor ot go right - Oakeshott left.

      New election called.

Ok then here’s a serious matter.

WHY are all our seasonal changes set THREE WEEKS later than they should be?

Spring actually started on the ~7th of August.

With the actual seasons or 12 and a half weeks equally distributed on either side of the equinox, each season should start on about the 7th of the month previous to what we currently use.  Summer is the 7th of November not the 1st of December. etc.  A 50% error is unacceptable and I expect Bob Katter to fix this immediately. Thank you in anticipation.
