This video does not make for happy viewing. It depicts a British Mum, who quite possibly is intoxicated, and her racist rant against just about everyone else in her tram carriage.


The video, taken this weekend, has sparked a nationwide debate about racism and immigration and has reportedly resulted in the woman being arrested. After this year’s London riots, it is hardly the video the English needed the world to see.

London’s Olympic organisers probably won’t be too chuffed either. But mostly, we feel sorry for the kid on her lap. What kind of life can he look forward to?

      yes but its a result of the open door policy of the British Labour party who admitted it was in part due to a long term plan to allow in migrants without any sort of education or language standard. who would be dependent on welfare and therefore good Labour voters but it misfired it turned traditional working class people off Labour to some extent. She isnt on her pat malone and its not isolated, there is a huge amount of resentment in the UK about asylum seekers and the real or imagined benefits they get.

We don’t tell some moron with aluminium foil lining his walls that it’s perfectly reasonable of him to fear the aliens reading his brain-waves; we make fun of them, and with good reason.

      What next? Foul-mouthed diatribes about how the lint might catch fire in our clothes dryers? Abusive tirades from people who resent that Tupac might *not* be dead?

      Enough of this pandering to the feckless and unresourceful. We shouldn’t be catering only to the most fearful and uninformed.

      I do agree that Britain and even more so continental Europe is in decline.  The question is why are we adopting more and more of their failed policies.  I would love to see a Europe test applied to public policy in Australia.  Basically if the Europeans are into it, chances are its a stupid idea.

      I don’t see how we will succeed in the Asian century operating a European model.

      Lint if left to build up can catch fire. I used to work in a commercial laundry when I was in Uni and we once had a serious fire caused from a lazy co-worker not emptying the the lint catcher.
      Thankfully domestic dryers in Australia at least have sensors that stop overheating. However you should always empty your lint filter after each load to be on the safe side.

      Baal - don’t own a dryer. I’m not kidding when I say my fiance and I live like we’re in the 1950s, aside from the whole living-in-sin-before-marriage thing. Two bedroom weatherboard in a working class suburb, one second-hand car, no dryer or aircon. Our only concession to the present are badass computers.

      We live cheaply and comfortably and have everything we want. Sadly, no Burberry caps for our cat…

      Welcome to the future my friends. This is what happens when governments everywhere fail to heed the warnings from their people about mass immigration.

      Immigration has winners and losers. The winners are the new migrants, property developers, retail sector. The losers are low skilled workers, the environment and the existing population that will now have to share limited services and crumbling infrastructure with even more people.

      Let’s face it - immigration is not the problem here.  Low class child abusing drunkards will always be exactly like this woman.  In Toowoomba, where my parents’ union was called a mixed marriage because my dad is from Belfast and my mum is from Galway, there were low class drunken child abusers just like this woman.  Immigration has nothing to do with it - these people will always be terrible human beings regardless of where those around them were born.  It just happens they turn their ire on migrants instead of rich people, by which of course they mean the employed.

      If this is the calibre of the native born, if anything Britain needs more emigration…

      On the other hand, the lessons of immigration here are that they built this country and made it what it is today.  In a little more than 200 years, they have transformed an almost empty continent into one of the top 15 economies in the world. 

      As the son of Irish migrants, all this anti-immigrant stuff makes me a little concerned.  After all, my Irish immigrant parents are just as much a perceived threat to you as any other migrant, right?

      In any case, most Australians vote for the Coalition, not the Stable Population Party.  Therefore, we can reasonably assume that most Australians support the policies of the main party in that Coalition - the Liberal Party - and thus support immigration.  Please just remind me, what was the combined primary vote of the two parties advocating zero population growth - the Greens and the Stable Population Party?

      I beg to differ, have a look at the crime rates committed by foreign born imports. Multiculturalism is contributing to the increasing crime rates in Australia, such as rape, gang violence, murder and theft. It’s also increasing, not going downwards. This means a very dangerous future for our children. In Europe it’s like 10 times worse. The Controlled Marxist media makes sure immigrant crimes don’t make it to the front pages of the paper in order for it not to interfere with the new world marxist agenda.

      The Stable Population Party is only very new and didn’t have time to even get their names on the ballots properly last election hence the low vote numbers for them.

      I think James1 is correct. There will always be useless people and they will always lash out at someone without needing a justification, just like bullies in a sandpit. We have benefitted greatly from immigration.

      The concerns about people not assimilating is valid, but overused. I see no problem with people maintaining their standard of dress and speaking their first language when talking to each other. The only restriction we should really impose is the rule of law and, let’s be honest, immigrants aren’t the only law breakers.

      I blame History Education as well Rick - given that Winston was the Minister for Munitions in 1917 after resigning in disgrace after being the chief architect of the Gallipoli disaster as First Lord of the Admiralty and then went on to command an Infantry battalion on the Western Front to ‘redeem’ himself…before nipping back to serve in Parliment again in 1917.

      I wish plenty of other soldiers could have just packed up and gone back to their careers when they felt like it as well…..but I digress….

      she is only saying what many think-too many do gooders are stuffing up countries like england,america and australia-I see the same here in australia and its getting hard to spot a second or third generation aussie here in some areas.Housing is in shortage and they are not helping especially boat people.Our for fathers had it right with the white australia policy and australia was a better place—many people I know from all walks of life feel the same.

      Not that being an Aussie means much anymore. It is no longer a national identity, but just a geographical expression of residence.

      But a kitten does not become a horse just because it was born in a stable.

      Multiculturalism means that the people previously known as Aussies have become hyphenated.

      Diversity is divisive, while social unity and cohesion results from shared values and a common culture, heritage and ancestry. That’s just human nature, it always has been and always will be.

      This is because Britain is losing its own religion. Christianity has become about nationalistic pride and tribalism now, people can’t tell you about Biblical teaching because people quite simply really don’t know it. The people that are suffering are ethnic Christians, and non-White non-Christians. There is racism in the church, and the church isn’t doing a very good job of addressing its racist laypeople. And then we see these non-religious people mentioning the Old Testament as if it was some indictment on God’s character. It is really just a indictment on sinful human beings.

      We see the events in the Arab world with a detachment from the reality of it. Yes, the Arab Spring is about people wanting freedom, but they aren’t looking to Western consumerism, prostitution and drunkardness etc… they are looking for freedom from their own tyrannical leaders and just want the West to get rid of them and leave the Arab world alone. They despise the secular West with all its ills.

      Having been sucked in by a previous confected outrage of yours today (Australian lad of Asian descent drives UTE, plus it seems has a footy sticker-probably anti-Collingwood on back) about the yucky behaviour of working class Australians Punch, I am not going to be so easily sucked in again.

      Just to reassure myself I had a look at life for Gibson and Galliano. Admittedly it is not quite so sweet for Galliano, but then his yuck behaviour is more recent. Nevertheless Vogue and Mail report that his rehabilitation for his illness is going well, and helped very much by his friend Kate Moss getting him to design her wedding dress despite the mean things said about him, and his punishment of a deferred good behaviour fine. That means he didn’t have to pay a brass razoo other than a token 1 euro.

      So what does the world think of the rich and powerful who behave badly. Tsk tsk. You think an article about one pathetic sod deserves this! My advice to her, claim to be ill, get some celebrity friends and PR people, claim to be a friend of the poor and underprivileged rather than one of the poor and underprivileged, and who knows what she might achieve. Oh and of course rehabilitation, perhaps National health will pay, though probably not for Arizona.

      I watched the video, what I think is worth focusing on is the woman who challenged her on behalf of the kids on the train, not herself. Britain can be proud of her, because it is very hard to challenge unpleasant or potentially dangerous persons, but the lady did it. Well done.
      The major interest of this story is the phenomenon of global interconnectedness and the strange triviality it can focus on, and the moral message, a brave woman who stands up to bullies.

      Let’s look at the bigger picture here, which is much more interesting.  Here you have an angry young woman without much of a formal education taking a bit of a risk, it must be said, mouthing off at people she sees as moving in on her patch.

      Why would she take this risk?  Is is because she is inherantly evil or is it because she realises deep down that a)  The game is rigged and those at the top will never let people like her move beyond her station b) The economic situation in the UK is deteriorating and that people at the bottom, like her, will feel the pinch first and hardest c)  Perhaps the people moving into her area do not consider people like her as being on the same team that she is on.

      Heaping shit on people at the bottom of the pile is just as vile and disgusting as racial prejudice.  Much easier to attack an easy target than admit the pile is there in the first place and admit that we really leave people like this woman to rot at the bottom of it.

      Funny how there is not similar outrage at the powerful folk in the finance industry busily destroying our society and way of life, perhaps becuase attacking people like that would take guts.

      What is all the fuss about? She had a perfectly understandable if somewhat inarticulate response to the social destruction of the country that she grew up in. Although if she had been more articulate, then she wouldn’t have received the same amount of publicity, would she?

      Same story with Britain, which rose to power after the unification of England and Scotland under one king in 1603. Gaelic Scots had already been suppressed, and the Protestant culture had become entrenched by the time the United Kingdom was formed 100 years later. WW2 weakened the empire, and its decline has accelerated since 1948 and the rise of multicultural immigration.

      The American founding fathers were all British white men, and the population was always over 80% white from foundation until 1990. It is now multicultural, and in obvious decline.

      What a weak, disorganised and shame of a nation Britain has now become. A former shadow of it’s great self. Thanks to the millions upon millions of blacks, muslims, Pakis and other ethnic groups who have no regard for common decency and the country they now call home.
      It’s time that a far-right Government was put in place to sort this mess out! If the soldiers fighting for Britain against Nazi Germany knew this is what they’re country would have become - they would have laid down their arms and surrendered to Germany!!

      The National Socialists at least mandated reasonable annual leave something Britain didn’t get around to for a decade so later, established a public health system that much of the western world has copied, built a system of roads that is in use to this day, and most importantly corrected the imbalances in the financial system/markets that has led many countries to where they are today. It did this by making capital markets beholden to the people of a nation rather than people just being the servants of financial markets like today.

      I think that his successful changes to the financial markets is what made many wealthy and powerful people so angry at Hitler. He took a nation from financial ruin with unemployment approaching 40% and made it one of the most prosperous country on earth in less than 7 years.

      Remember, a large majority of Austrians embraced joining Germany and it was only considered an invasion by the British and French as a stronger Germany was not good for them in any way. He was opposed to the policy of multiculturalism and wanted to keep his nation homogeneous and mono-cultural and for that he was branded a criminal.

      Other nations should have accepted his proposal to move all Jews to their own homeland and leave Germany alone to look after its own interests. Israel was wanted by the Jews as a homeland long before the 1930’s and fully supported by Hitler. Britain in particular was bitterly opposed to giving land to the jews anywhere. Churchill was always considered a fearful anti-semite.

      Hitlers real crime was being an upstart corporal from humble family who led his nation to success. What other country even tried to get every working family into a home of their own, or stated that every working family should have at least a 2 weeks paid leave at the seaside to recuperate. Not the UK nor the US.

      What absolute nonsense, people who are sent off to fight and die are nearly always sent off by power elites who whip up nationalism to hide the fact that they are robbing the people blind. 

      They send them overseas to fight so they don’t have an uprising at home.  It also doesn’t hurt their cause to make the little people fight each other so they can’t stand united against a tyrant.  Mubarack whipping up anti christian sentiment was the latest example of this.

      If you keep falling for the same old trick you will keep being sent off to fight pointless wars by psychopathic money addicted power elites.

      Oh please, as if rants like this do not occurr in our cities, I have been on public transport in a few of our cities and here white Australians bad mouth traditional owners, I have heard traditional owners bad mouthing white Australians. Migrants of other races bad mouthing others as well. This is not just in the uk but here too. Maybe not as recorded as this but try a train system at night and it happens. We can be just as nasty which is a shame. If England is motherland then the Aussie child is as bad and that is sad

      This video has brought back some terrible memories for me that I’d chosen to forget. My mother was from ‘Madras’. Well educated & from a respectable Indian family she married my (English) father in 1952 & moved to London. Prejudice like this was just as rampant then. As a 6yo child in the early 60’s, I remember Mum taking me to see a children’s matinee, only to have the afternoon ruined on the way home when a bus conductor asked her “Are you a British citizen? You’re not are you!”. He wouldn’t let us on the bus & pressed the bell telling the driver to move on, leaving my mother & two young kids stranded. Sporting prowess assisted in a friendlier passage through my school years but that didn’t stop the jibes or constant stream of taunts from children & adults alike. Being the only coloured kid amongst 1200 pupils wasn’t easy, a couple of teachers even locked onto my nickname of “Chocolate man” (aka ‘The Black Streak during athletics). Shopkeepers’ would ensure that I was the last to be served, people would spit or shout abuse out of cars… I could go on but suffice to say the abuse strengthened my resolve to treat others with respect, stand on my own two feet & try to achieve to the best of my ability. I’m so glad to have come to Australia where ‘racial’ comments were occasionally ‘traded’ but never said in malice, just light hearted humour amongst friends from a rich mix of ethnic backgrounds - all of whom understand the scourge of prejudice. I can still laugh at some of the names used in taunts thrown at me during my ‘soccer’ years here in Oz: Abdul, Wog, Imran, Dago, Eyetie, Paki, Curry Muncher - no one ever got it right… I’m a Pommie Bastard who relishes his Indian heritage & still calls Australia home!

First of all, if you’re going to make statements about it, get it right - the correct spelling is CASTE & secondly the fact that it is an elaborate and complex social system that many of us don’t understand might excuse your comment, however I do have experience of life in India & I suggest that you think about the influence of foreign policy when you make such a rash judgement. I don’t know you, but I could assume that you are making an inflammatory & irrelevant comment designed to ‘stir the pot’.

      @marley: Not at all, I do not approve of racism in any form, its vile and should be dealt with accordingly. I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy of the comment directed directly towards white people only while clearly ignoring the fact that most of the worst kind of racists in the world today are not white.
      I lived in the UK also and I can tell you that I was a victim of racism on more than one occasion by persons of central asian descent. In Bradford and in London.

      @RyaN - what hypocrisy?  Dave is describing his personal experience with racism.  That’s all he’s doing.  If he had argued from that that only whites can be racists, I’d agree with you - but he didn’t say or suggest that.  He just described what it felt like to be a subject of racism.  That happens to Indians and Pakistanis in England, black in America, to lower castes in India, to Christians in Pakistan, to Tswana in Zululand.  It’s all wrong.  And the idiot woman in the clip was as wrong as any Brahmin snearing at a Dalit.

      Bit of a dilemma for me Alan. Favourite all rounder: Botham, bowler: McGrath, and batsman: Tandulkar - add to this that I’m married to an Aussie & have 3 sons all born here, I sometimes feel like I’m ‘Jake the Peg’.  I back Australia in most sports, however, when they play the Old Dart my Aussie mates love to give me jip so I go for the old country. Hey, I’m still reminding them about little Jonny’s drop goal!
