Rudd has a surprising lack of pit sweat for a politician.

Makes one wonder if RUdd put a couple of dollars on each horse to ensure that he had the winner photo opportunity.

Rudd may have won on the cup today but nothing much else he has done has been a winner. He should enjoy his cup win because there won’t be too many other things for this guy to enjoy in the near future

Bemused (@8:21pm), I would not be surprised at all if that was the case..

He actually tipped Shocking yesterday and this morning when he was asked.

He might have picked a winner in the race that stops a nation but the purpose of his visit was as rigged as it could be, just like most of the things that he has done. There is not one sincere atom or molecule or gene in this whitlam clones body. I just can’y comprehend how the working class can see this man as being their hope for a bright future.

I saw that on TV it looked it was disingenuous to me. Instead of drinking beers and having a great time on the wage that Australian taxpayers are paying this guy he should be hard at the wheel fixing up Australias issues.

That’s his second win in three years - I remember much was being made of his tipping the winner mid 2007 election campaign as well. Would like to know his system…

how about the Ruddster gets back to work on dealing with the nation’s issues rather than a transparent photo-op attempt. maybe the time would be better spent dreaming up some more spin, hype and methods of deflecting poor performance back onto the opposition or anyone else the government can find to blame.

I think Rudd picking a horse called Shocking is very apt, pretty well describes his performance of late.
