Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock…

We know it’s spirited here at the best of times. But please, stay safe and enjoy yourselves this festive season.

Happy Christmas to you too, Punch Team. Thanks for the opportunity you provide for participation, and contribution to free discussion in our blossoming democracy. You give me hope that Australians will think for themselves in the future and avoid being manipulated by unscrupulous power seeking profiteers. You provide a very valuable resource .

” You give me hope that Australians will think for themselves in the future and avoid being manipulated by unscrupulous power seeking profiteers. “
      Really!
There have always been people thinking for themselves and always will be those manipulators who try and outthink the other thinkers.
In some cases it may be the best thoughts that see the owners of them prosper, even if they may be viewed as manipulators by the outthought.

That’s democracy and our way of life when we are not getting too greedy and killing oneanother.

Marry Christmas to all those losers who have no life and have only this site to communicate with outside world because all their friends and family could not stand them anymore. Ho ho ho.

      Gun violence is bad!

Let’s tell America how bad their society has become and recommend they remove guns from the community.  Let’s personally abuse a whole host of people we have never met and place our judgment on them.  We don’t condone guns in a country we have never been and have no clue about.

      Wait hold the presses!!!

      I have front page news!!!

“Prince Harry has personally killed a Taliban!”

      Hooray for guns!

    • stephen says:

      09:24am | 25/12/12

      Taliban ?
That was a talisman he shot.

Somewhere in a cave at Oruzgan, a nativity play is short a ‘Joseph’, (he is the short one with a paunch) ; and a helicopter pilot is smiling, kissing his gold cross around his neck.

ps If there is a God, pronounce yourself now and call an end to worship : it’s degrading - people shouldn’t beg.

Merry Christmas to the team and to all my fellow Punchers. Whether you believe in the reason (for the season/day) or not, just remember the message if nothing else.  Peace and goodwill to ALL.  Have a great day no matter how you celebrate it (or not).

Yes, best wishes for the season to the Punch team, contributors and respondents.
Not too much under the tree this year but that doesn’t really matter, latest work toy, a High Wheel rough terrain/high grass eater did not quite make it through to local dealer from the importer but that can wait for the NY.

They had a huge tree in Bethlehem this year and many visitors to the Church of Nativity, supposedly where the little eventually grown bearded fella was laid down in a crib for a babe.
It’s great that at least they could have some relative peace in what is a very violent region at the moment.

Thank you for providing the forum. The more comments you read the more you realise how out of step politicians are with the wishes of the people. Lets hope the new year brings a resurgence of common sense, which has been trampled by intellectual sophistry, and a serious re-appraisal of our deification of the economy.
Merry Xmas to all at The Punch and to all those who contribute because they care.

Julia was asking Tim whether he could give her a new fashionable cut for Xmas.
” I don’t want my nose appearing as if it is growing “
” What do you think, is it any bigger than last year? “
Tim ” Err aah ( shit!, she could have at least just asked about the jeans )
” Tiiimmmy!, Comeon darl, it’s not as if you would be believing rumours about the nickname would you? , fancy those bastards calling me Pinnochio
Tim ” Just fix them up with a NY resolution Pin…...., Princess, a complete new and trustworthy Julia, complete honesty all the way! “

Tiiimmmy darl, now come on, don’t be such a silly sweet dreamboat.
